My name is Anand Anandalingam. I am currently the Ralph J Tyser Professor of Management Science at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland where I have been since 2001. I was the National Center Professor of Resource and Technology Management at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Engineering and the Wharton School of Business) for 15 years before joining the University of Maryland. I was Dean of two prestigious business schools for almost 10 years: Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland (2007-2013) and Imperial College Business School in London (2013-2017). The Financial Times rates the Smith School among the top-20 U.S. business schools, and Imperial College Business School among the top-10 European Business Schools.
I have written more than 100 articles and papers on a variety of topics primarily in technology design, economics, management and strategy, and c0-edited several technical books. My book The Winners Curse (co-authored with Hank Lucas) was published by Oxford University Press. I have a PhD from Harvard University and a BA/MA from Cambridge University in the U.K.
I am currently working on technology and ethics and have extended my career as a blogger and a podcaster
